Limitations: - Any DTM Module configured as DTM-DPNSS must be Deconfigured and Reconfigured after the update is applied to allow firmware to be loaded to the module. To perform this procedure navigate to Element Manager Configuration -> Resources -> Telephony Resources -> Select DTM-DPNSS MBM -> Deconfigure, and then Reconfigure the DTM-DPNSS Media Bay Module. - Any E&M card must be Disabled, Deconfigured, and Reconfigured after the update is applied in order to see the Trunk Type as E&M, not Loop, in the Element Manager Configuration -> Telephony -> Lines -> Active Physic al Lines panel. - In Element Manager when accessing Active physical lines and selecting any line to view the properties a "General error" message is displayed as a popup. The user needs to press "OK" on the popup to see the properties of that line. This error message has no functional or operational impact to the BCM or the circuit displayed and will be addressed in a future update. Q02013774 - Restoring Contact Centre configuration (CallPilot configuration) without also restoring Telephony configuration may result in some Application DNs not to be allocatable anymore. If it is not possible to also restore the Telephony configuration, the Contact Centre skillsets should be unconfigured before restoring the Contact Centre configuration. - If a timeout occurs while configuring the FindMe/FollowMe settings of a mailbox from CallPilot Manager, the login ID and password that is required to be re-entered is for the mailbox and not the CallPilot admin. The administrator has to re-launch CallPilot Manager to resume the administration session. The following limitations are specific to BCM <-> SCS interoperability. - Codec renegotiation during xfer to auto attendant on SCS. In this scenario, a call from PSTN gets tandemed to a set on SCS. The SCS user attempts to transfer to another SCS set, but it supports a different codec from what the first set on SCS supports. The transfer failed, because there is no overlap in the offered Codecs and the Codec supported by the target. The workaround is for all the SCS sets to support the same Codec. Q02036115 - CLID shows as anonymous during a double blind transfer. Anonymous shows up when testing the following scenario: - Set1 on SCS calls PSTN through BCM - Set1 blind xfers the call to set2 on SCS. On Set2, name is shown as transfer and DN of transferor is shown. - Set2 then blind xfers the call to set3 on scs. On set3 we only see anonymous. Q02036122 Update Removable: No Element Manager moved from Desktop SU to System SU: --------------------------------------------------- To remove circular dependencies, the Element Manager client has been moved from the Desktop SU to the System SU. - BCM Element Manager installation with upgrade option selected If a customer's PC already has BCM Element Manager or BCM50 Element Manager installed, and chooses to install Business Element Manager with upgrade function, the Windows registry entry for the older BCM Element Manager and BCM50 Element Manager will remain. This update fixes this issue, and ensures the older Element Manager registry entries are removed properly if the upgrade function is chosen during Business Element Manager installation. Q01810 771-01 Software Update BCM450.R100.CDR-95 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - CDR is not showing line numbers for incoming CDN calls CDR is not showing line numbers for incoming Callcenter calls after CDR service is restarted. On CDR restart the line table is cleared off and it is not updated for CDN calls, so the line number is shown as '0000'. This update resolves the issue by updating the line table for CDN calls. Q02086166 Software Update BCM450.R100.CORE-TELEPHONY-93 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - GATM: CLID Fix to meet the Bellcore On-Hook Caller ID Specification Firmware is detecting both Post Ring and Before Ring FSK Caller Id in NA profile, but NA profile requires only Post Ring CLID Detection as per the Bellcore standard. This update address the issue. Q02074460-01 - System reboots intermittently This update corrects a coretel crash due to a Nil pointer reference. Q02097260 - F900 for observed agent will show the observing supervisor If an observed agent makes an outgoing call, does a F900 then enters an account code, the DN of the supervisor secretly observing the agent is then shown. Q02060854-01 - LAN CTE application becomes unresponsive The Admin server is allocating a different Secondary Station Index whenever the KEM is booting for reasons other than the IP set registration. The code which is responsible for requesting the Secondary Station Index is being executed whenever the KEM boots up (e.g. hot plug in, IP set going offline and online, etc.) without checking whether it is already allocated or not. Q02059094-01 Software Update BCM450.R100.CTI-92 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Call transfer to VM stops working randomly Call transfer to voicemail (feature 986) stops working on some phones, after entering the mailbox number. The call is not transferred and it stays on hold. Two lads were mistakenly using the same secondary station id, and as a result the F986 request was not handled properly by the CTI. This update resolves the issue. Q02091765 Software Update BCM450.R100.KERNEL-91 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - I2C bus error Reading manufacturing data from CFI may fail due to I2C bus errors. The following symptoms may be seen on the BCM: a. Under Hardware inventory section, System serial number will not be displayed. b. BFT/BMB information will be incomplete. BMB Serial, PEC, CPC and Hardware version will be missing c. There will be no alarms generated for these errors. This update resolves the issue. Q02076290 Software Update BCM450.R100.FEPS-90 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - BCM SIP treats E.164 International numbers as Unknown numbering plan if no phone-context is specified. Q02088870 - BCM SIP calls to CS1K fail using NRS in redirect mode, when SIP Proxy configured without using Outbound Proxy Table. Q01975895-02 - BCM SIP does not send Ack on receipt of 503 Server Error response This causes the far end to re-transmit the error repeatedly for 32 seconds, thereby tying up resources. Q02081072 Software Update BCM450.R100.PSM-89 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - BCM should alarm if network port is operating in half duplex mode The LAN1 and LAN2 ports on the faceplate are configured by default with auto-negotiation enabled to determine the link speed and duplex mode of the far end LAN endpoint. In the event that the far end LAN endpoint does not have auto-negotiation enabled, the LAN port uses half duplex mode. Although this behavior is compliant with IEEE 802.3 specifications, full duplex mode is desired. In addition, a duplex mismatch will cause numerous Ethernet frame losses or retransmissions. This alarm informs the user when a half duplex condition is detected. Q02088053 Software Update BCM450.R100.LAN-CTE-CLIENT-88 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Un-installing Lan Cte removes all registry entries under software/nortel When Lan CTE is uninstalled from the PC the entire "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Nortel Networks" registry entry is removed which it impacts other Nortel applications. This update corrects the problem by setting the option of 'Shared among several applications' for Nortel Networks registry entry. Q02076300 Software Update BCM450.R100.VOICEMAIL-86 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Dial by name not working correctly Once Auto attendant answers an incoming call, the caller dials an extension DN or a DN name that requires pressing the digit "8" twice, the call goes to voicemail since "88" is a voicemail access feature. This update resolves the issue. Q02056548-02 - FTP recorded info not being recorded by CCRSTEST FTP destination info for silent recording not being displayed by CCRSTEST page as the path for the sftp consists of ''. This update resolves the issue. Q02072737 - Active call is pegged to the ccrs database before completion An active CallCenter (CC) call is being pegged to the ccrs database (DB) which causes inconsistency in the historical data. This update rectifies the sql query to fetch only completed CC calls. Q02042297-02 - Not Ready activities are missing from XML A CC call when presented to one agent but answered by another agent using Pickup Group would intermittently cause invalid state transitions for the first agent. This would cause the call id to remain active with the first agent giving rise to discrepancies in RCC agent reports. The fix includes clearing the call id from the first agent if any invalid state transition occurs. Q02057032-02 - Full backup causes incorrect agent logon status If a full backup is taken while call centre agents are logged on the log status of those agents will be incorrect after the backup has completed. This update prevents the problem from happening. Q02051933-02 - Bad XML causing RCC download to stop A CC call is routed to an agent set which has CFNA (Call Forward No Answer) or another agent set configured as its AnswerDn. This generates an invalid reason id and as the result RCC gets stuck. This update generates a valid reason id and facilitates such call scenario. Q02057991-02 Software Update BCM450.R100.CORE-TELEPHONY-85 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Message waiting indication is not working for analog sets Neither tone notifications nor lamp indication is provided on analog sets when a message is left. Q02079632 - Can't add numbers to speed dial directory in Element Manager Unable to add, edit, or even display system speed dial information in Element Manager. The entire table is blank and greyed out. Q02062753 Software Update BCM450.R100.CTI-84 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Voice Mail Busy - Try again' displays on sets when F981 is invoked Voicemail process F981 by invoking MakeCall() API/function. When there is no line assigned in the accessed Line pool, MakeCall() fails with 'device not responding' and this failed response is not being passed to voicemail. This update corrects the problem by sending failed response to voicemail. Q02072337 Software Update BCM450.R100.UTPS-83 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Unable to add the 4th KEM to i2004 sets When 4th KEM is added to i2004 phase 2 sets, the IP set resets. This was caused by CoreTel engine sending the messages at a faster rate than UTPS was able to buffer the messages and send them to the IP set. The transmit buffer size in UTPS is increased to address the issue. Q02067394 - i2004 set goes back to default DSCP value for signaling after being restarted The Unistim terminals are updated with the new DSCP values at every boot up to address the issue. Q01967579-02 Software Update BCM450.R100.DHCP-82 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - ISC DHCP dhcpclient buffer overflow vulnerability A security vulnerability has been reported in ISC DHCP, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a user's system. dhcp component is updated to version 4.1.0p1 to address this issue. Q02065537-02 Software Update BCM450.R100.VOICEMAIL-81 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Delivery Receipts Enhancement for external faxes to include Original Body of the Message Delivery Receipts Enhancement has been made to include the original fax message bodies (for external faxes) with the receipt. This gives the user the ability to request a delivery receipt with the original fax message returned back to the sender to tell them which message was delivered. Q02071498-01 Software Update BCM450.R100.FEPS-80 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - No voice path on the calls from CS1K to BCM that are forwarded to CallPilot BCM was not propagating the SIP UPDATE request to the incoming trunk, so the updated media location of the CallPilot was not being sent to the call originator. Q01959394-02 - SIP call from BCM to SIP DECT on CS1K is released after 10 seconds Call is originated from a SET on BCM. Call tandems through CS2100 and terminates to a SIP DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) set on CS1K Release 6.0. The call is established with clear two way speech path, however it is released after about 10 seconds. Q02007243-02 - No voice path after transfer over H.323 Trunk In certain VoIP call scenarios the RTP port is not specified, which triggers an attempt to use a 0.0.0.0 media address resulting in no voice path after transfer over H.323 trunk. Q02047280-02 - Remote H.323 Version out of expected range VoIP trunk test sets H.323 Version identifier in the call setup message outside expected range and causes FEPS to reset. This update resolves the issue. Q02059043-02 - Caller ID information is not sent to the destination SET on calls tandemed through BCM Call is originated on SIP trunk and tandem through BCM on PRI trunk to the destination SET. The main number is sent as a CLID instead of actual CLID of the calling party. The originating DN information was mistakenly derived from the Contact header on tandem calls. This update resolves the issue Q02059946 - One way voice path on H.323 SIM RING call from CS1K BCM uses legacy treatment of voice packet encoding negotiation which causes negotiation failure if information needed is delayed in the case when the simultaneous ring (SIMRING) feature is used on the CS1K. Q01990348-03 - Faxes to CS1K CallPilot Fax mailbox fail BCM was making incorrect assumptions about the order that media parameters are specified in the negotiation, resulting in failure to set up the media path. Q01988290-03 - No voice path on H.323 trunk from BCM to CS1K 5.5 BCM must match the AnnexA setting for G.729 from the far endpoint so that the codecs are seen to be symmetric as some endpoints do not recognize these as equivalent, resulting in failure to set up the media path. Q01986003-03 - Malformed H.323 packet causes sets to be disconnected from BCM This fix checks that all dialled digits in H.323 Setup messages are within the acceptable range. Q02069433-02 - H.323 Gatekeeper routed calls disconnect after 12 minutes If the Gatekeeper uses the IRQ mechanism to audit calls, and does not set the FLAG bit properly, then it will fail to recognize the response as the same call it was querying. This change allows the IRR responses to mask off the FLAG bit in these cases. Q02061358 Software Update BCM450.R100.VOICEMAIL-78 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - RCC is detecting Invalid XML from CallCenter In some of the CallCenter(CC) calls on Analog line the CLID is received as Alphanumeric characters by CC. Because of the non numerical value sent in place of CLID, RCC is detecting it as an Invalid XML. This update corrects the problem by making the CLID as NULL if it detects invalid characters. Q02034803-02 - RCC database will not update from the BCM The RCC gets stuck whenever it reads a single character DN from the database (DB). This update will populate "0000000" as DN when encounters less than 2 characters DN, enabling RCC to function properly. Q02019992-02 - Call Sender shows corrupted CLID for France profile This update increases the Local Number Length from 7 digits to 15 digits for France profile so that CallPilot can correctly determine the dialable DN for Call Sender feature. Q02046009-03 - MeetMe does not allow chairperson to start the conference After chair person starts Silent Recording, the MeetMe Conference service is not available. The chair person starts the MeetMe Conference again but it is terminated shortly. An announcement is played indicating .The service is not available at this time. Please try again later.. This update resolves the issue. Q02049078 - Real Time Call Detail displays inaccurate numbers Call loops indefinitely between Auto Attendant and Skillset In a scenario, where Auto Attendant transfers call to Skillset by default and Skillset transfers call to Auto Attendant if all Agents are in Break Time, the call answered by the Auto Attendant gets into a loop between Auto Attendant and Skillset. This is because there is no checking condition to terminate the looping call when it reaches a max limit. Q01865608-02 - Resetting PIN causes all current MeetMe conferences to terminate Resetting of the MeetMe conference PIN will cause all active conferences to be dropped. Q02034943 Software Update BCM450.R100.CORE-TELEPHONY-74 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - Saudi Arabia Market profile This update introduces the Saudi Arabian market profile to the BCM450 platform. Q01586579-02 - IP phone display changes from French to English An IP set is configured to display in French. The user changes the name of an extension on the system using Feat**CONFIG. The display turns to English and Feat*502 no longer works to revert it back to French. Q02038936 - One way speech path to prime set An incoming call gets externally call forwarded via BCM to a CS 1K. The digits dialed do not match any target line receive digit, so the call is rerouted to the BCM prime set via the overflow call routing feature. On answer, the calling party can hear the person on the prime set, but the called party (prime set) cannot hear the originator. Q01881623-03 Software Update BCM450.R100.UTPS-73 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - i2007 volume fluctuates during calls when using headset 0621C4V The issue is with Echo cancellation within the firmware, as it should not lower the volume but cut down background noise. Inclusion of UNIStim3.3 firmware for IP set solves the issue. 0604DCL for Phase II IP Phones (2001, 2002 & 2004). 0621C6P for IP Phone 2007. 0623C6R, 0624C6R, 0625C6R for IP Phone 1110e, 1120e and 1140e respectively. 062AC6R for 1210,1220 and 1230 Q01988838-02 Software Update BCM450.R100.VOICEMAIL-72 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - System voicemail prompts corruption fix Default voicemail prompts are getting corrupted after a L1 reset (configuration reset). This was because the hardlinks to the voicemail cabinet files were not deleted before smashing them. This update resolves the issue. Q02032603 - VoiceMail Read Receipts Enhancement to include Original Body of the Message A VoiceMail Read Receipts Enhancement has to be made for the read receipt to include the original message bodies with the receipt. This gives the user the ability to request a read receipt from a person listening to a message and actually return the original message back to the sender to tell them which message they listened to. The voice or fax original message bodies are included in the read receipts and can be listened to or viewed by F981 or Unified Messaging. This enhancement does not apply to AMIS certified messages. Q02032711-01 - Silent monitoring feature crashes CallPilot and makes CPU usage 98% The CPU spikes up and Callpilot becomes unresponsive if the agent being monitored by supervisor terminates the call before the supervisor ends the monitoring feature. This update resolves the issue. Q02014900-02 Software Update BCM450.R100.CFS-71 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - Release 5.0 keycode upgrade support To be able to upgrade a BCM450 release 1.0 system to release 5.0, the keycode component needs to allow the new upgrade keycode for Release 5.0. This update addresses the requirement. Q02049504-01 Software Update BCM450.R100.DHCP-PROVIDER-70 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - DHCP Settings in EM do not save Primary and Secondary Terminal proxy Server (S1+S2) Retry count From Element Manager panel, Configuration -> Data Services ->DHCP Server ->IP Terminal DHCP Options tab, the default values for the S1 and S2 DHCP 'retry count' are set to 1. If the default values need to be updated, they will get set incorrectly. This update resolves the issue. Q02029685-01 Software Update BCM450.R100.FMFM-VT-68 Description: ---------------------------------------------------- - FindMe/FollowMe FindMe/FollowMe allows simultaneous ringing of up to five different external destinations. Users and administrators can configure these destination numbers. FindMe/FollowMe can be configured based on the time and day by configuring schedules. Using FindMe/FollowMe, the call can be picked up at the primary extension (desk phone for example) or at one of the five external destinations, such as a cell phone, home phone, or another phone. When the call is answered at one location the alerting will be stopped at other destinations. By doing this, the FindMe/FollowMe feature reduces the chance of missed calls. The user can then transfer the answered call back and forth between the desk phone and the device that first picked up by entering a feature code on the deskphone. This feature is sometimes referred to in the literature as 'Simring' or 'Fixed Mobile Convergence'. The FindMe/FollowMe feature can be enabled via keycodes and up to a maximum of 300 users can have this feature enabled. FindMe/FollowMe utilizes an internal Resource called Virtual Terminals as well as Conference resources and trunks. A Maximum of 32 Virtual Terminal resources are available to support simultaneous user access to the FindMe/FollowMe feature. The FindMe/FollowMe solution on BCM is integrated with existing BCM features and does not require additional hardware. It maybe necessary to purchase a CEC card and/or additional trunks to support the extra call capacity this feature can generate. A good rule to follow would be to include the equivalent of 2 IP trunks for every simultaneous FindMe/FollowMe calls and 3 conference resources for every simultaneous FindMe/FollowMe calls. That would indicate if a CEC is required when taking into account the existing number of IP devices used and conference ports used. For additional trunks, a good rule of thumb would be to have 2 trunks for every simultaneous FindMe/FollowMe calls. Note that FindMe/FollowMe user interface is available in English only at this time. Other languages will be supported in the BCM5.0 release. Q02047785 As part of the Find Me Follow Me trial, the following FMFM specific issues were resolved: - FMFM doesn't work in case internal caller has same DN as Home phone If an internal set calls another extension which has FMFM active and the destination extension for FMFM is the same as the calling set, Find Me Follow me will fail. Q02042947- 01 - Some VT events do not handle endian correctly The VT_TERMINAL_ENABLED event is not doing endian translation correctly Q02040005 - FMFM fails to start properly - Set display blank After a system restart FM/FM was not working and Many TDM sets had a blank display. Q02024790 - FM/FM alerts wrong remote destination Calls to a set with FMFM enabled may results in forwarding to another users Remote Destination. Q02012953 - Some in 32 simultaneous FMFM calls are failed If 32 simultaneous FMFM calls are made Using G.29 SIP trunks some calls will fail to complete. Q02010036 - Only one destination can be assigned to a customized schedule. Up to five destinations can be assigned to a single customized schedule. This fix resolves the issue of having only 1 destination per customized scheduled Q02051086 The following additional bug fixes (not related to Find Me Follow Me) are also present in this update: - The APPP page doesn't page indefinitely as stated in the documentation. A new option is given in the number of retries for paging. On top of the 1-5 retries. A new Unlimited option is provided, If the programming is done via F983, the number of retries must be set to 99 if the paging is to be performed indefinitely. Q02042864 - BCM Monitor not showing calls forwarded to an external number If a DN is set to call forward (feature 4) to an external number, and a call is made to that set, the call is call forwarded to the external number but nothing appears in the BCM line monitor to show the call activity. Q01925344 - RCC application is not pegging contact center calls correctly Call center is not capturing historical data correctly resulting in incorrect RCC reports. Q01933066-01 - CTE reports failure on blind transfer to a dn with external CFWD configured When a call is transferred to a set which is call forwarded to an external number using the LAN CTE application, the transfer and call forward are successful but LAN CTE generates an ME_DEST_NOT_RESPONDING error message. Q01935906 - Postgres CCRS call statistic data for comparable period is not consistent with CDR data Discrepancies are evident in CCRS call statistics when compared to the actual number of calls that were answered as exhibited in CDR data. CCRS call statistic disparity is seen specifically when outgoing calls are placed from sets logged in as an ACD agents and the call is routed out on line 76. This update allows postgres CCRS to track calls on line 76. Q01962498-02 - CDR Prefix filter does not update prefix number properly When using CDR and selecting a filter type of "prefix", the prefix number was not getting updated correctly. Hence the prefix filter did not capture the call records correctly based on the prefix filter number. Q01983902-02 - Shutdown button is acting as a reset button When the shut down button is selected in Element Manager, the BCM does not shut down. It performs a soft reboot. Q01870745-01 - Software Update logs recorded password information in clear text SoftwareUpdateProviderAgent.log recorded a user id and password in cleartext when retrieving patches from remote locations. The fix is to no longer record this information in the log. Q01927648 - System interrupted when Element Manager queries "Active DNs" Pressing a TDM set key after the Active DNs update completes, results in slow response on the set. Q01928456 This update includes the content of the following superseded Smart Updates: BCM450.R100.SU.System-011.201001 Limitations: - Any DTM Module configured as DTM-DPNSS must be Deconfigured and Reconfigured after the update is applied to allow firmware to be loaded to the module. Q02036122
