Installation Recommendations: This patch should be applied to all new installs of BCM50 R1 and SRG50.  Existing installations should have this patch applied if they are experiencing any of the issues that are corrected.  There is no need to schedule specific maintenance to apply this upgrade if there are no reported issues.  In those cases, systems should be updated at the next regular service opportunity.  This patch corrects a number of BCM50 R1 and SRG50 alarm deficiencies identified in final alarms verification testing.  
   The patch eliminates generation of multiple alarms caused by the same fault event and ensures that only the alarm pointing to the root cause of the fault event is generated and displayed, thus reducing the number of unnecessary alarms. It is recommended that this patch be applied to any system being monitored using alarms and/or SNMP.
