Download i2050 QoS Service The i2050 Software Phone is an IP Telephony application that allows you to make calls over the LAN and WAN from your computer. The Software Phone provides classic telephony services, a local telephone Directory, easy access to CallPilot Caller ID information and multiple telephone lines or line appearances. The i2050 Software Phone is supported on the following Operating Systems:
To make a call, you can dial with either your keyboard or your mouse. To answer a call, simply click a button. Instead of holding a telephone receiver to hear and speak to callers, all you need to do is wear a headset (the Nortel Networks USB Headset Adapter is recommended). Note: After installing the i2050 you will find a folder called i2050 QoS ServiceIf you are using Windows 2000, then check with your administrator to see if 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) is supported on your network. If 802.1p QoS is supported on your network, and you are using Windows 2000, then to enable 802.1p with the i2050 Software Phone you must:
Note: You must have administrator privileges to install the Windows QoS Packet Scheduler. This is a Windows 2000 component; see Windows 2000 installation instructions for details. Note: Administrator privileges are required to install the Nortel Network i2050 QoS Service. If you have administrator privileges, the Nortel Networks i2050 QoS Service is installed as part of the i2050 Software Phone Installation. If you do not have administrator privileges, then an administrator must install the Nortel Networks i2050 QoS Service for you using a separate installation which is downloaded here. The administrator should install the Nortel Networks i2050 QoS Service after both the Windows QoS Packet Scheduler and the i2050 Software Phone have been installed.
