BCM 3.1k audio (modem) calls may not work after the installation of this update. Solution: Set the new button "Force G.711 for 3.1k audio" to 'on'. Limitations: All Mailbox Manager Message Forwarding pages have the "Main", "Logout" an d "Help" buttons in English regardless of the language being used. All other text on the Mailbox Manager Message Forwarding page is translated according to the language being used. Workaround: None Q01902938 1200 series set support has been introduced in CS1000 Release 5.5 and later releases. As a result, SRG50 R3 systems should be connected to CS1000 Release 5.5 and later releases to offer both normal mode and local mode operations for 1200 series sets. If the CS1000 main office is not running on release 5.5 or later when this update is applied to the SRG50 R3 system, the 1200 series sets connected to the SRG 50 R3 will remain in local mode and will have to be manually redirected to normal mode once the CS1000 is upgraded to release 5.5 or later. If the CS1000 main office is already running Release 5.5 or later when this update is applied, then this limitation does not apply and the 1200 series sets can be redirected to normal mode using the same procedures as for other IP sets. Please download and install BCM Element Manager (EM) from your BCM, to prevent the following limitation: With older versions of the EM and Java VM, EM may display an incorrect time during a two-hour window surrounding the time transition from/to daylight savings time. The time on the BCM and displayed on sets is correct at all times. Note: Do not manually correct the Element Manager's time setting during this two-hour window as it may result in incorrect times on the BCM. When setting the BCM time using the EM, discrepancies between the BCM understanding of DST and that of Java may result in the time being set differently from what was entered. This limitation only occurs if you set the time on the transition day to/from DST. For example, when setting the time for the "Australia-Adelaide" time zone when the date is currently Oct 5 2008, the time will be set one hour later than what was entered (Entering 5:00am in the EM will result in the time on the BCM being set to 6:00am). This limitation does not occur when using other methods to set the time, such as using NTP, Trunk time, or set-based administration. Workaround: If the time must be set during this interval, then add an appropriate offset when setting the time using EM; alternatively, use set-based administration to adjust the time. When a Unified Messaging group list message is created by attaching multiple bodies including at least one fax body, the Message Forwarding emails contain only the first body. Workaround: Send a separate group list message for each fax body. Q01893742 Voicemail will receive Digital Networking(VPIM) messages from a Networking Site if the Enable Network Receive setting is disabled. The Enable Network Receive setting is enabled by default in the CallPilot Manager General Networking Properties page. Workaround: None Q01896169 The LED of an IP set with OBT message display does not blink when paging is done. When paging is done to an IP set which has an OBT message displayed on it, its LED doesn't blink. However, in the absence of the OBT message, the same set's LED blinks, as is expected. Workaround: None. Q01778697 Updating the CDR Prefix filter does not update prefix number properly. The Prefix list will not take effect until the Report Filter type is changed. Workaround: When the Prefix list is updated, the Prefix Filter Type must be updated for the change in the Prefix list to take effect. This issue will be addressed with the future software update. Q01983902 Lines will revert back to the IPSet from the KEM on the 1140e set if the 1140e is rebooted from the Services menu, or via the key sequence. Q01997311-01 During KEM boot sequence, the supporting IP set will not respond to any new requests for service. Installation of a second KEM module to an in service IP Set with single K EM configured as an EKEM will move configured lines on the existing KEM to to blank keys on the IP Set. When a second KEM is "hot-plugged" both the original primary KEM and the secondary KEM will boot and any lines configured on the primary KEM will migrate to free keys on the IP set supporting the KEM modules as add-ons. will boot. Removal of a secondary KEM module to an in service IP Set will result in migration of configured lines on both the primary and secondary KEM to available blank keys on the supporting IP set Update Removable: No Element Manager moved from Desktop SU to System SU: ----------------------------------------------- To remove circular dependencies, the Element Manager client has been moved from the Desktop SU to the System SU. Software Update BCM050.R300.DHCP-210 Description: -------------------------------------- - ISC DHCP dhcpclient buffer overflow vulnerability A security vulnerability has been reported in ISC DHCP, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a user's system. dhcp component is updated to version 4.1.0p1 to address this issue. Q02065537 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-209 Description: -------------------------------------- - Dial by name not working correctly Once Auto attendant answers an incoming call, the caller dials an extension DN or a DN name that requires pressing the digit "8" twice, the call goes to voicemail since "88" is a voicemail access feature. This update resolves the issue. Q02056548 - Active call is pegged to the ccrs database before completion An active CallCenter (CC) call is being pegged to the ccrs database (DB) which causes inconsistency in the historical data. This update rectifies the sql query to fetch only completed CC calls. Q02042297 - Bad XML causing RCC download to stop A CC call is routed to an agent set which has CFNA (Call Forward No Answer) or another agent set configured as its AnswerDn. This generates an invalid reason id and as the result RCC gets stuck. This update generates a valid reason id and facilitates such call scenario. Q02057991 - Call Sender shows corrupted CLID for France profile This update increases the Local Number Length from 7 digits to 15 digits for France profile so that CallPilot can correctly determine the dialable DN for Call Sender feature. Q02046009-01 - Call loops indefinitely between Auto Attendant and Skillset In a scenario, where Auto Attendant transfers call to Skillset by default and Skillset transfers call to Auto Attendant if all Agents are in Break Time, the call answered by the Auto Attendant gets into a loop between Auto Attendant and Skillset. This is because there is no checking condition to terminate the looping call when it reaches a max limit. Q01865608-03 - Real-time report for new messages waiting in skillset is not correct The number of new messages in a skillset for Real-time report was not properly initialized when the skillset is reconfigured. This update corrects the problem by initializing the appropriate variables to zero. Q01920937-03 - Auto attendant is not transferring calls properly due to feature 88 After the call is answered by Auto attendant and the caller dials some other extension whose DN starts with 88 the call was routed to voicemail because 88 is the voicemail access feature in Global profile. This update resolves the issue. Q01988830-03 - MeetMe conference interrupted by Automated voice During an established meet me conference the automated voice will suddenly break in and start playing. Q02030284-03 - Sensitive data is not being smashed during L1 reset when an L1 reset is invoked, due to some path issue with the smash command the sensitive data is not getting smashed. This update corrects the issue. Q02057544 - System voicemail prompts missing or corrupted after L1 reset Default voicemail prompts become corrupted after a L1 reset (configuration reset). Condition is the result of hard links to the voicemail cabinet files that were not deleted before smashing them. This update prevents the scenario during an L1 reset. Q02032603-02 - Full backup causes incorrect agent logon status If a full backup is taken while call centre agents are logged on the log status of those agents will be incorrect after the backup has completed. This update prevents the problem from happening. Q02051933 - BCM is not recording contact center calls correctly When CallCenter data queue on the BCM is overrun and overrun flag is set, once the queue is cleaned the overrun flag is not reset. This condition blocks the data being written into the database and manifests as missing records in the database. This update resolves the issue by resetting the queue overrun flag at an appropriate time. Q01933066-03 - Not Ready activities are missing from XML A CC call when presented to one agent but answered by another agent using Pickup Group would intermittently cause invalid state transitions for the first agent. This would cause the call id to remain active with the first agent giving rise to discrepancies in RCC agent reports. The fix includes clearing the call id from the first agent if any invalid state transition occurs. Q02057032 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-206 Description: -------------------------------------- - No voice path after transfer over H.323 Trunk In certain VoIP call scenarios the RTP port is not specified, which triggers an attempt to use a 0.0.0.0 media address resulting in no voice path after transfer over H.323 trunk. Q02047280-01 - Remote H.323 Version out of expected range VoIP trunk test sets H.323 Version identifier in the call setup message is outside the expected range and causes FEPS to reset. This update resolves the issue. Q02059043-01 - Caller ID information is not sent on the SIP trunk on calls tandemed through BCM Call is originated on the SIP trunk and tandem through BCM on PRI trunk. The main number is sent as a CLID instead of actual CLID of the calling party. The originating DN information was mistakenly derived from the Contact header on tandem calls. This update resolves the issue Q02059946-01 - Proxy failover is not working over SIP trunk when DNS routing is used and the WAN connection is down. Q02039966 - Cannot leave a voice message after a blind transfer over SIP trunk Blind transfer via SIP to DN that subsequently forwards to voicemail is unable to leave a message at the destination voicemail box. This was the result of missing state transaction in the SIP media control causing the message to be lost. Q01975905 Software Update BCM050.R300.CTE-202 Description: -------------------------------------- - Tapi Lines unavailable after Hibernate or Standby Once the computer goes to standby, TSP (Tapi - Telephony Application Programming Interface Service Provider) goes "Out of Service". This update will bring TSP "In Service" after standby. Q02050514 Software Update BCM050.R300.CTI-200 Description: -------------------------------------- - CTI tracker instance is not killed after TAT is invoked After approximately 64 external calls to the BCM using trunks where TAT is invoked, the CTI tracker instance remains active and interferes with other calls and features. The resulting condition is Voicemail becomes unresponsive. This update prevents the condition by killing the residual cti tracker instance when TAT is invoked after the trunk is released. Q02042991-02 Software Update BCM050.R300.UTPS-196 Description: -------------------------------------- - i2007 volume fluctuates during calls when using headset 0621C4V The issue is with Echo cancellation within the firmware, as it should not lower the volume but cut down background noise. Inclusion of UNIStim3.3 firmware for IP set solves the issue. 0604DCL for Phase II IP Phones (2001, 2002 & 2004). 0621C6P for IP Phone 2007. 0623C6R, 0624C6R, 0625C6R for IP Phone 1110e, 1120e and 1140e respectively. 062AC6R for 1210,1220 and 1230 Q01988838 Software Update BCM050.R300.ANALOG-PROFILES-195 Description: -------------------------------------- - Add regional profiles for Germany (analog Stations) UAE (analog trunks) to the Telephony Regions EM screen and include Colombia in the Telephony Regions Screen. Q02032227, Q02034298 Software Update BCM050.R300.SRG-194 Description: -------------------------------------- - IP set 1120E is not registering to SRG R3 This update corrects a condition where 1100 series (1120e and 1140e) enter into a firmware download loop. This occurs since the SRG attempts to push older firmware to the phone. This issue is solved by upgrading the SRG50 3.0 firmware to unistim 3.3 and by treating the error code 32 sent by sets that reject firmware download of old firmware. The following are the unistim 3.3 firmware that is being included in the SRG50 3.0 for 1200 series (062AC6R), 1110e (0623C6R), 1120e (0624C6R), 1140e (0625C6R), 2007 (0621C6P), and 2002/2004 Phase 2 (0604DCL) IP Sets. In addition, the fix also adds capability to allow new 'DCR NewGen' sets (1100 series, 1200 series and 2007 sets) to bootup with their resident firmware when SRG attempts to update their firmware with older versions. This is achieved by treating error code 32, sent by the set on such conditions. Q01834934-05 - Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) on data ports on IP When device connects to the PC port of a 1230 IP set and authenticates via EAP, the authentication is successful. However, when the device is disconnected, the authentication is not released and remains authenticated via the set. The 1230 IP set must be rebooted to release the authentication. If the user tries to connect the device in another location such as a conference room, they are locked out of the network by the lingering authentication on 1230 IP set. Q02049454 Software Update BCM050.R300.ELEMENT-MANAGER-191 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Save programming record fails for Set Templates if a template has sets assigned. Q02029355 Software Update BCM050.R300.RECOVERY-CONFIG-190 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - DSCP Marking enhancement and restore functionality From Element Manager panel, Configuration -> Data Services -> QoS-> DSCP Marking tab, users can modify the default values for marking the TOS byte in the IP header of VoIP traffic. When a backup of the BCM configuration is made, the DSCP values are backed up. However, a restore of the "Data Services and Network Interfaces" component does not override the configured DSCP marking values. This update resolves the issue. Q01961402 Software Update BCM050.R300.DHCP-PROVIDER-189 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - DHCP Settings in EM do not save Primary and Secondary Terminal proxy Server (S1+S2) Retry count From Element Manager panel, Configuration -> Data Services ->DHCP Server ->IP Terminal DHCP Options tab, the default values for the S1 and S2 DHCP 'retry count' are set to 1. If the default values need to be updated, they will get set incorrectly. This update resolves the issue. Q02029685 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-188 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - CPU usage becomes 100% and the sets are freezing up For an Analog agent set there is continuous retry attempts of displaying skillset name, due to which VoiceCTI process is totally hogged by the requests from the application. This update resolves the issue by setting an appropriate flag in the application code. Q01998047-02 - RCC database will not update from the BCM The RCC gets stuck whenever it reads a single character DN from the database (DB). This update will populate "0000000" as DN when encounters less than 2 characters DN, enabling RCC to function properly. Q02019992 - Overflow external number greater than 7 digits does not peg to CCRS The RCC reports show calls as abandoned when the DN to which Skill Set calls have been forwarded to is having more than 7 characters, since the database (DB) accepts maximum 7 as DN length. This update will allow DB to accept DN length up to 26 characters, thereby enabling the RCC to fetch the correct DN from the DB and hence populate the data correctly. Also, in CallPilot Manager, 'Transfer to External' tab would accept maximum digits as 26 (instead of 30). Q02025543 - Silent monitoring feature crashes CallPilot and makes CPU usage 98% The CPU spikes up and Callpilot becomes unresponsive if the agent being monitored by supervisor terminates the call before the supervisor ends the monitoring feature. This update resolves the issue. Q02014900 - RCC is detecting Invalid XML from CallCenter In some of the CallCenter(CC) calls on Analog line the CLID is received as Alphanumeric characters by CC. Because of the non numerical value sent in place of CLID, RCC is detecting it as an Invalid XML. This update corrects the problem by making the CLID as NULL if it detects invalid characters. Q02034803 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-183 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - No voice path on SIP calls when endpoint invokes SIP REFER for transfer Call is routed to SCS over a SIP trunk. The call is answered on SCS set and is blind transferred to another set on SCS. There is no speech path on the established call. Applies to SCS as endpoint or any system endpoint configured to use SIP REFER to facilitate transfer. Q02020891 - No voice path when retrieving CS1K SIP call from Hold BCM is now explicit in setting silence suppression attributes in SDP because some endpoints do not interpret implicit settings correctly. Q01925484-03 - Calling Line ID is not passed from BCM50 to SIP trunk BCM would send 'Anonymous' as a calling name if there were none provided. "Anonymous" is displayed at the SIP destination set not the CLID of the calling party. Q02017376 - SIP call from BCM to SIP DECT on CS1K is released after 10 seconds Call is originated from a SET on BCM. Call tandems through CS2100 and terminates to a SIP DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) set on CS1K Release 6.0. The call is established with clear two way speech path, however it's released after about 10 seconds. Q02007243 - Cannot enter meet-me conference over SIP trunk Q01997586-02 - One way voice path on H.323 SIM RING call from CS1K BCM uses legacy treatment of voice packet encoding negotiation which causes negotiation failure if information needed is delayed in the case when the simultaneous ring (SIMRING) feature is used on the CS1K. Q01990348 Software Update BCM050.R300.CORE-TELEPHONY-182 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Logevent 0995 messages filling up the coretel log files Logevent 995 is raised when the BCM thinks an improper loss plan setting has been identified. The most common case is seen where a Callcentre agent answers the incoming call. The device type is set as Call centre and the loss plan tables do not recognize the device type and as the result logevent is generated. Q02008248 - SRG50 - one way speech to prime set An incoming call tandems via SRG to the main office. The digits dialed do not match any target line, so the call is rerouted to the prime set for the physical line. The prime set is in normal mode so the call tandems back to the main office. On answer, the calling party can hear the person on the prime set, but the called party (prime set) cannot hear the originator. Q01881623-01 - Ring No Answer on prime set when called without CLID & DID An Incoming call from a cell phone to a local DN on an SRG in 'normal mode' is not established when CLID is not present. The same call is connected if the set is in 'local mode'. Q02018613 Q02020441 Software Update BCM050.R300.CTI-180 Description: --------------------------------------------- - RCC is detecting Invalid XML from CallCenter In some of the CallCenter calls DNIS and CLID is sent as Junk characters by CTI. Because of the non numerical value sent in place of CLID/DNIS, RCC is detecting it as an Invalid XML. This update corrects the problem by making the CLID/DNIS as NULL if it detects invalid characters. Q01994302 Software Update BCM050.R300.CORE-TELEPHONY-179 Description: ----------------------------------------------------------- - IPKEM does not boot automatically if the KEM is hot plugged in while the set is ringing. An incoming call is made to a set. If, while the set is ringing, a KEM module is connected to the set, the IPKEM will not boot automatically. Q01956156-03 - After reboot lines move off Key Extension Module (KEM) to I2004 set After every system reboot the lines programmed on the KEM module move to the i2004 sets over writing the current key programming. Q01730833-02 - Hunt Group key on the KEM locks up and HG calls cannot be presented If a hunt group key is defined on a KEM and the hunt group is set for sequential or rotary mode only the first call rings on the KEM HG key. All subsequent calls to the hunt group do not ring on the KEM and the hunt group key locks up. Q01962169-01 - Intercom keys locks up on the digital sets Intercom keys on digital sets appear in a connected state with no actual connection. Keys will not function when depressed. No message is displayed on the set and it appears the lines are busy. When diagnosing issue with BCM monitor there is no indication that the lines are busy. No Alarms are evident on the BCM associated with this event/state. Q01965463 - Logevent 0450 messages filling up the coretel log files Logevent 450 is an informational log that is raised when EM logs into coretel. Because of the EM design, literally thousands of these messages can fill up the BCM coretel log files. Q02004764 - GASI/GASM/ATA2 globalization for Ireland This update introduces support in Ireland for analog sets. Q01684879-07 - CDR records lacks calling number after upgrade After upgrade CDR records don't show the calling number. Q01915311-04 - Silent monitoring info displays on agent's set On completion of monitoring by Supervisor the display on the agents telephone display shows the Trunk Number thereby alerting the agent that they have been monitored Q01955564-03 - Call transfers drop at times when LAN CTE is used to perform the transfer User intermittently experiences disconnects on trunk calls when LAN CTE is used to connect 2 calls together. Q01933772-03 - Incoming DID calls on the PRI trunk may result in unexpected busy signals Sites with a PRI trunk may experience increased ISDN call processing error with event id 799. Q02015169 - Dropped Calls on Point to Point PRI SL-1 Intermittently call drops are reported over a point to point PRI using the MCDN protocol. Q01927104-02 - PRI calls cutting off intermittently Intermittently, an incoming PRI calls may be disconnected if there are 8-9 simultaneous PRI calls. Only one call at a time gets disconnected and the problem happens only on incoming calls. Q01923297-03 - Phantom outgoing calls ringing at both far end and prime set On an SRG system if far end does not send an alerting event in time, the call will be disconnected and fall back to the prime set. If the prime set is externally call forwarded this could result in a phantom call ringing at the far end. Q01979330-01 - B-channels go into lockout on PSTN facing PRI when using BCM or SRG as Network Edge Device Problem with B channels going into lockout on PRI. The problem is triggered by incoming calls. There are no reported issues when making outgoing calls. Disable of TAT (Anti-Trunk Tromboning) and reboot of the BCM resolves the condition. This corrective content addresses TAT/PRI interaction Q02009643 Software Update BCM050.R300.UTPS-178 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Inclusion of the UNIStim Firmware Release 3.2 for IP Phones: 0604DCJ for Phase II IP Phones (2001, 2002 & 2004). 0621C6M for IP Phone 2007. 0623C6O, 0624C6O, 0625C6O for IP Phone 1110, 1120E and 1140E respectively. 062AC6O for IP Phone 1210, 1220, and 1230. Headset or handsfree operation appear unaffected. Q01946866 - i2050 fails connecting to the server i2050 phase 1 phones do not support the IT capability query, which was blocking its boot up process and as the result failing while trying to connect to the server. This has been rectified by implementing a fix so If an IP Phone does not reply back to the IT capability query in 5 seconds, then the IP Phone is booted up without the AG2000 support for that phone. Q02012003 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-176 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - No voice path on H323 trunk from BCM to CS1K 5.5 BCM must match the AnnexA setting for G.729 from the far endpoint so that the codecs are seen to be symmetric as some endpoints do not recognize these as equivalent, resulting in failure to set up the media path. Q01986003 - Faxes to CS1K CallPilot Fax mailbox fail BCM was making incorrect assumptions about the order that media parameters are specified in the negotiation, resulting in failure to set up the media path. Q01988290 - No voice path on the calls from CS1K to BCM that are forwarded to CallPilot BCM was not propagating the SIP UPDATE request to the incoming trunk, so the updated media location of the CallPilot was not being sent to the call originator. Q01959394 - No voice path on the transferred calls on the SIP trunk Under certain timing scenarios, BCM was not handling the reception of media address information appropriately, resulting in failure to set up the media path. Q01924985-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.MGS-173 Description: ---------------------------------------------- - SIP Calls put on HOLD with Music on Hold, disconnect after being retrieved. Q01977207 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-172 Description: ------------------------------------------------------ - RCC is detecting invalid XML data when CLID is alphanumeric from CallCenter. This update corrects the problem by making the CLID as zero when its alphanumeric. Q01996883 - Agent Reports were showing incorrect Not Available end time details if an agent logged out before releasing the seized line. This has been fixed by updating the Not Available End time for the agent even if an agent logged out during an active non ACD call. Q01994570 - When a CC call is presented to agent1 and it's answered by a different agent using Group Pickup Feature (F75), the call will be placed in Agent 1's call data as an active call and as the result any outgoing call made by this agent was not getting captured in its outgoing call information. Ideally Agent1's status should become idle and the call id should be cleared from Agent 1's data. This update resolves this issue by setting the call id and the call index of the CC call as NIL for the Agent1 in case the set answering the call using F75 is a monitored set. Q01953402 - When silent record feature is used, record pause time is showing incorrect in the real time report The problem is due to display of the record pause information from the incorrect record after displaying the correct number of pause record information. This has been fixed by displaying the record pause information only for the correct number of pause record information. Q01839153 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-171 Description: ------------------------------------------------------ - VPIM message fails to get delivered to VPIM mail boxes When a VPIM message is sent, the notification MWI is turned 'ON' on the target DN, but when the user checks the voice mail, gets a dead air message. User on the originating side gets a voice mail indicating that the CC messages could not be delivered due to a network issue. This issue is caused by structure having Junk data due to alignment requirements. This update resolves the issue by implementing comparison of structures using conditional operators. Q01901863-03 - VM server crashes under heavy traffic The Voice Mail becomes irresponsive under heavy traffic running multiple applications (e.g. Fax, CC, VM, MMC, etc.) for an extended period of time. The Voice Mail gets stuck waiting for a response from Voice CTI, it blocks all the requests and queues the other components. This update resolves the issue. Q01911913-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.CDR-170 Description: ------------------------------------------------ - CDR Prefix filter does not update prefix number properly When using CDR and selecting a filter type of "prefix", the prefix number was not getting updated correctly. Hence the prefix filter did not capture the call records correctly based on the prefix filter number. Q01983902 - CDR stream displays strange characters in CDR live client When multiple transfers happen for a call in the BCM, the amount of data sent to the CDR live client exceeds the maximum buffer size. This results in a buffer overflow and strange characters appear in the CDR live client. This update resolves the issue by increasing the size of the buffer. Q01912410-03 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-169 Description: ------------------------------------------------ - Return appropriate response when cannot route an incoming SIP call An incorrect "500 Server Internal Error" was being returned when the target line was missing or incorrect. Q01948374-03 - Cannot join calls on SIP trunks A PSTN call to an IP set on the BCM was blind transferred to another PSTN number. When the Join key was hit, there was no voice path. This was caused by the far end rejecting the BCM's SIP UPDATE request to renegotiate media by replying with a 504 Server Timeout. Q01957111 - Outgoing S IP calls to Optus network drop out after about 3 minutes Calls to Optus would result in a unique sequence of Progress messages that require BCM to send multiple SDP answers in successive provisional responses during call setup. Incomplete handling of this message sequence resulted in BCM failing to recognize that the call was connected, causing it to timeout after about 175 seconds and release the SIP trunk. Q01973477 - H.323 call to BCM, then CFNA to IPDialog phone has no voice path A state machine flaw in the Sip Media Control caused it to ignore an SDP answer from the IPDialog phone in certain states because of timing issues. Q01909559 Software Update BCM050.R300.MGS-168 Description: ------------------------------------------------ - IP sets with background music cause CPU Usage at 100% An IP set is configured using G723 as preferred codec. When this set is invoked with background music, MGS fails to allocate shared gateway for this IP set. This failure will cause CORETEL to retry background music on the same set repeatedly and cause system CPU usage to increase. Q01980136 Software Update BCM050.R300.COMBO-166 Description: -------------------------------------------------- - Add facility to view and activate Analog Region Profiles Provide the user with the means to view and activate the analog region profiles on the BCM. Q01959367 Software Update BCM050.R300.CTI-162 Description: -------- ---------------------------------------- - Postgres CCRS call statistic data for comparable period is not consistent with CDR data Discrepancies are evident in CCRS call statistics when compared to the actual number of calls that were answered as exhibited in CDR data. CCRS call statistic disparity is seen specifically when outgoing calls are placed from sets logged in as an ACD agents and the call is routed out on line 76. This update allows postgres CCRS to track calls on line 76. Q01962498 - Contact Center Agent is unable to receive further ACD calls after hanging up before calling party During a call scenario where the Contact Center Agent hangs up before the calling party, CTI Tracker is not released. The Agent set which originated the call does not receive the release message and goes into Out of Service mode. As a result of this condition the Agent set is unable to receive any ACD calls. This update corrects the problem by having CTI process to send the release message to the Agent set, placing the Agent set back to 'In Service' mode. Q01920932-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-157 Description: ------------------------------------------------------------ - Call Sender shows corrupted CLID for Switzerland profile This update increases the Local Number Length from 7 digits to 15 digits for Switzerland profile so that CallPilot can correctly determine the dialable DN for call Sender feature. Q01972595 - Unable to apply English (Australia) template to sets In the Australian Market profile: When using the Set Templates within Element Manager, if the user selects the language as English (Australia) and applies, the template will fail to apply. Q01942112-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-150 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - SIP calls not disconnecting properly The BCM often sends a SIP re-INVITE (inactive media) just as it is tearing down a call. This can cause some third party switches to leave trunks tied up for up to several minutes. Q01938547-01 - No caller ID on remote IP site on calls transferred on PRI trunk In the case in which the calling name is not known, the BCM would inject 'anonymous' even when the presentation is not restricted. This causes the terminating BCM to display 'anonymous' rather than giving the number as a fallback for unspecified name display. Q01951623 - Call forward to DID does not work intermittently Sometimes some MCDN payload was being incorrectly decoded, causing the failure. Q01926400-01 - One VoIP line is always active If calls are being attempted while the VoIP (SIP or H.323) gateway is starting up, some lines are sometimes tied up until the service is restarted. Q01893655-01 - SIP Re-direction does not work when Outbound Proxy table used If the Outbound Proxy table entries are used, a 302 Moved Temporarily response from the NRS is ignored, and the call cannot be routed. Q01975895 - No Voice Path on SIP call forwarded to Call Pilot on CS1K BCM does not handle the SDP session version number correctly when the SDP is received in a reliable response during call setup, resulting in no voice path. Q01915068 Software Update BCM050.R300.RECOVERY-CONFIG-147 Description: ------------- ----------------------------------------------- - Software Update History included with logs As an aid to any future problem diagnosis, the Software Update History is included when the logs are collected. The issue is resolved by increasing the H.323 timeout. Q01810385-03 - RFC3407 support is now added to allow the compact form of SDP capabilities to be used for advertising T.38 between endpoints. BCM50 SIP Fax call does not switch to T.38 because that capability is not advertised. Q01920355 - Spurious MCDN being sent out over SIP in 183 Progress messages in certain circumstances, causing call drops from some non-Nortel switches. Q01914609 - No speech path when SIP call fwd to CS1K CallPilot When there are multiple answers returned for a single offer, and the version number in the answer is not incremented, it should be ignored. Q01915068 - One way speech path after second SIP transfer when Secure Media: Best Effort is selected This is experienced because On CS1K the SIP stack does not discriminate and report to the application that have RTP/SAVP media descriptors. Q01943060 - No speech path on tandem SIP calls to CS1K 5.0 The SIP messages sometimes come in with a different order from previously seen, and are not being handled properly. Q01928517-01 - No speech path in blind transfer from SipPBX line to CS1K using ISUP This was caused by a timing window in the tandem call that was not handling a new SDP OFFER while setting up the previous media streams, resulting in stale addresses being used. Q01932882 Software Update BCM050.R300.CDR-142 Description: ------------------------------------------------ - CDR service is going down unexpectedly When an application other than a CDR client connects to the BCM on the Port reserved for CDR, the CDR Service goes down. This update resolves the issue by removing the error handling which causes CDR to go down. Q01884976-01 - No CDR data when using a prefix filter without account codes When using CDR and selecting a filter type of "prefix" only calls using account codes (F900) are appearing in CDR data. Call that match the "prefix filter" that do not use account codes (F900) are not captured by CDR. This issue is due to mismatch between the values of filter types in the mof file and CDR code. This update resolves the issue by making the value mapping of different filter types same in both mof file and CDR code. Q01943234 - CDR push failures after FTP server rebooted CDR Datafiles are sent to an FTP server daily. The FTP server is rebooted and after that the problem of CDR Datafiles not being sent starts to occur. This update resolves the issue by setting an alarm before 'send' process and resetting it after the process. So that kernel will generate a signal after 90 seconds and that signal is handled to exit out of the loop, which stops the CDRTransfer process from running continuously. Q01892101-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.SOFTWARE-MANAGEMENT-PROVIDER-136 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - user id and password stored in cleartext within log file during software updates The Soft wareUpdateProviderAgent.log records the user id and password in cleartext when retrieving patches from remote locations. Exposure of this information is an issue because this log file is included in the Log Collection utility and then shipped off the BCM for browsing. Anyone looking at this file on their PC will be able to see the user id and password. Q01927648-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.CORE-TELEPHONY-DIALOGGER-134 Description: --------------------------------------------------------------------- - Adding new feature BCM Analog Programmable Interface This feature adds the support for the configuration of Analog Trunk and Station related parameters through the Parameterization tool. Q01898555-01 - "Message for you", "line 9 called" displayed intermittently on sets If there is a pending voice mail message on a set ("Msg for you" on the display) and an outgoing call is made on line 167, once the far end answers the call, "Msg for you", "line 9 called" will be displayed. Q01875614-01 - Getting "Not in Service" at times when using external Auto Dial Key Intermittently when using the external Auto Dial, a "Not In Service" error is returned for outgoing calls. Q01904250-02 - Turkey Market Profile addition in BCM50 R3 stream. This update adds support for the Turkey market profile in the BCM50 R3 product. Support for GASI/GASM/ATAII/GATI/GATM for Turkey profile is added. Q01821382-02, Q01935060 - Delay Dial Tone on GASI port When a Digital cordless telephone is BT Diverse 6210 and is connected to any of the GASI ports, there is an 8-10 seconds delay in receiving dial tone after going off hook. Q01865029 - Schedule d Reboot Operation To utilize the Scheduled Reboot feature, in the Element Manager, navigate to the Reboot screen located in the Utilities folder that is available on the Administration tab. - BCM Set Template Feature This feature allows administrators to combine a number of set parameter settings into a template that may be assigned to any number of sets on the BCM. This feature provides administrators with the ability to create, and modify and delete Set Templates. The template application is accessed in Telephony part of the Configuration frame under Sets. The complete user documentation for the BCM Set Template feature can be found at the http://nortel.com website. Refer to document number NN40010-676. Note: If a set that is part of a template has parameters changed via set based administration or the Element Manager Configuration-Telephony-Sets panels, the set will be removed from the template. The user documentation may lead users to believe that this removal is immediate. In reality, the removal will occur within 24 hours after the change in set programming occurs. - Line and Set Parameter Renumbering Set and line parameters, including voice mailbox DNs can be renumbered using the renumbering feature. - Set Programming Privilege When Accounts are assigned to the Set Programming group, that user only has access to the Telephony -> Sets folder and their own account (for password changes). Software Update BCM050.R300.OAM-124 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - Unable to Hear Voicemail Tone from IP set Calls originating from an IP set on the BCM cannot leave a Voice Message as the tone is not being presented correctly. The loss of the voicemail tone is due to the fact that this particular voicemail tone is detected by the BCM DSP as DTMF tone and therefore ripped off the media by the DSP task. The detected DTMF tone event is sent to BCM IP-client server through a signaling channel but the BCM IP-client server does not process this event. This fix is to update BCM IP-client server to optionally play inbound DTMF tones to the IP-client. A new check-box flag is added to BCM Element Manager to enable this option. Q01876046 - EM does not allow Dial by Name (F963) button programming A user programs "Dial by Name" Feature [F963] as a feature key on Digital/IP set using the "Button programming features" (F*3). Subsequently, if EM is used to access/modify the Button Programming table, then any tabs after the button programming table are all permanently grayed out and cannot be configured. Q01892141 Software Update BCM050.R300.MESSAGE-FORWARDING-123 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - Message Forwarding Not Working with TLS or non standard ports The Message Forwarding feature was originally released to support Outgoing SMTP Mail/Proxy Servers that do not require TLS (Transport Layer Security) and it's predecessor SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). The feature was also designed to only support the standard SMTP TCP/IP port 25 (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol) and the SMTP AUTH LOGIN and PLAIN authentication mechanisms. Some Internet Service Providers (ISP) require TLS, SSL or non-standard SMTP TCP/IP port numbers for outgoing mail for security purposes. This update adds support for TLS, SSL and non-standard SMTP TCP/IP port numbers for outgoing mail. Contact your mail server administrator for more information about the requirements of your Outgoing SMTP Mail/Proxy Servers. Q01933637 Software Update BCM050.R300.SRG-122 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - IP set 1120E is not registering to SRG Inclusion of new firmware files for 1120e, 1140e, 2007, 2002 and 2004 Phase 2 IP sets. The following firmware is being included in the BCM50 3.0 build for 1120e (0624C4N), 1140e (0625C4N), 2007 (0621C4V), and 2002/2004 Phase 2 (0604DBP) IP Sets. This update corrects a condition where SRG 1100 series sets registered in normal mode to the CS1k were upgraded to C6E firmware and later redirected back to the SRG in local mode. When the SRG attempts to push older firmware to the phone and consequently causes a firmware loop to occur. This update will load C4N firmware to the SRG and will correct this issue. Q01929062 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-111 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - Expected wait time not working properly on ACD With the first incoming call answered by an agent, and when none of the agents are ready to receive the next incoming call, subsequent incoming calls should go to the queue and the caller should get the greetings in accordance with the respective estimated Expected Wait Time (EWT), but for the second call, the EWT call timer is jumping to the last greeting of the EWT table instead of playing the correct sequence. This update will resolve the issue. Q01911361 Software Update BCM050.R300.DSP-FIRMWARE-107 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - T.38 fax on SIP trunks to CS1k fails The CS1K Release 5.5 sends image data in a T. 38 t4-non-ecm-sig-end packet. In previous firmware versions this would cause the EOP (End Of Page) to be transmitted to the fax machine incorrectly. This condition is now handled properly by the BCM. Q01891091 - Outgoing Faxes on SIP trunks to CS1K fail This problem is caused if the CS1K delays the switch from a G.711 VoIP channel to T.38 fax. If the delay in switching is too long, then the parameters of the fax session can be exchanged between the fax machines over the G.711 VoIP channel, and not through T.38. This will lead to the failure of the BCM50 DSP as a result of the T.38 session not being established in time for the T.38 gateways to participate in the negotiation of the fax session parameters. The BCM is now protected from a delay in switching to T.38. Q01924090 Software Update BCM050.R300.CORE-TELEPHONY-105 Description: ---------------------------------------- ------------------- - Remote MWI from CO not lighting the message waiting lamp on BCM sets. When an incoming call is forwarded to the Central Office voice mail, the message waiting indicator is not lit on the called BCM set after the message has been left. Q01894588 Software Update BCM050.R300.VOICEMAIL-100 Description: ------------------------------------------------------- - Some Mailbox Manager prompts are displayed in English for German profile When using a German profile get mixed languages on some pages. This update changes these particular prompts to German language only. Q01902613 - Mailbox Manager Message Forwarding help button links to English version Mailbox Manager Message Forwarding help button always links to the English version of the Message Forwarding help regardless of the language being used . Q01902958 - Unified Messaging Send fax no longer working for delivery receipts The BCM does not send the fax when Unified Messaging Fax printing is used and the user selects "Receive a confirmation of delivery" in the "Compose Fax" window. Q01914908 - Caller transferred to skillset via operator fails Under the following circumstances, when an operator transfers a caller to a skillset, it erroneously goes to the skillset mailbox. Details: A caller calls Skillset X, there are no agents and an overflow rule exists which transfers to Skillset X's mailbox. Once in the mailbox, the caller presses "0" to reach the operator. The Operator receives the call and transfers the Caller to skillset Y which has all agents busy. Instead of getting queued, the caller returns to Skillset X's mailbox where they again press "0" to reach the operator. On the second attempt with the same circumstances, the call will successfully queue in Skillset Y. The above scenario has been resolved so that the transfer from operator into Skillset Y will succeed on the first attempt regardless of all agents being busy or available. Q01679216-02 - Call Sender shows corrupted CLID for German profile The "CountryLocalNumberLength" value for Germany has been hard coded as 7, but the DN length for Germany can be more than the present length of 7. The Call Sender feature uses the "CountryLocalNumberLength" value when determining the number to be dialed. Since the "CountryLocalNumberLength" was 7 there was a problem in determining the correct Dialable DN for the Call Sender feature. The length has been increased to 15. Q01789495-02 - Voicemail crashes with event error codes 10002 and 10230 Two agents are on two different calls. One of them transfers the call to the other agent. Now the agent who has two calls holds one of them, disconnects the other and invokes F906 (supervisor help), which leads to a voicemail crash. This update resolves the issue by checking for this particular scenario and display a message on the set. Q01848085-02 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-98 Description: ------------------------------------------------ - BCM sends wrong SIP response code to INVITE when no trunks are available Should send "503 Service Unavailable" instead of "480 Temporarily Unavailable". Q01854111-01 - SIP MWI transactions don't honor "302 Moved Temporarily" responses Sending an MWI indication to the CS1K using the NRS, it never arrives because the redirect is ignored, and the request is repeatedly re-sent to the NRS instead of the Signaling Server. Q01882153-01 - BCM calls torn down after 30 seconds if OPTIONS response is not received Certain tandem calls do not return far end capabilities which causes the OPTIONS transaction to hang, and after 30 seconds of no response, the far end is assumed to be unreachable, and the call is torn down. There is now a guard timer set so that an empty response can be sent to avoid this lockup. Q01891602 - Call from BCM to MCC (Cell) is released after established VoIP gateway (feps) was not handling vdi_alert after a progress was received, and the call was dropped as soon as answered because it was in the wrong state to accept it. Q01889182 - Interop issue between BCM50R3 SIP and MSFT Exchange for set on SCS with DND set No Speechpath with MSFT exchange server because of redundant re-INVITE immediately after answer. Q01890165 - PRI doesn't come back into service after remote alarm When there is a short interruption of the PRI service that results in a remote alarm (AIS, RAI), then the DTM Module in the BCM shows a remote alarm (yellow led in the upper left corner is lit) as expected. However, when the PRI service is re-established, the DTM Module still shows a remote alarm and no incoming or outgoing calls are possible. Remote alarm condition should be cleared on the DTM Module. Q01822428-01 - Calls with NO CLID cannot connect to BCM50 via H323 When incoming call from PSTN gets tandem out over the VoIP with private route, call gets dropped. Q01883856-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-94 Description: ---------------------------------- -------------- - SIP private calls from MCS to BCM require a public received number BCM did not parse the private dialing numbers if the NPI/TON came only in the INVITE's Request URI. So BCM incorrectly used public received numbers to terminate the calls. Q01447030-01 - BCM SIP calls forwarded to CS1000 5.5 CallPilot with dead air SIP inbound calls were forwarded (CFNA) to CS1000 5.5 CallPilot over SIP trunks, but the connection to the CallPilot was not established properly. This was due to BCM's implementation limitation, i.e. BCM did not support SIP Update. As a result, BCM was unable to forward the CallPilot media back to the call originators. Q01861580-01 - SIP 503 Service Unavailable vs 480 Temporarily Unavailable When all VoIP trunks became busy, SIP inbound calls would be rejected by BCM with return code 480 Temporarily Unavailable. The correct return code should be 503 Service Unavailable, which allowed CS1000 to route the SIP calls fallback to PSTN over analog trunks. Q01854111-01 - BCM tandem calls from VOIP H323 to T1 E&M trunks no ringback heard After H323 inbound calls were successfully routed to T1 E&M answer supervision trunks, CORE sent the call progress vdi messages back to FEPS with progress indicator 2. However, this type of call progress messages was ignored by FEPS. As result, the connection to the inband tone was never established. When the VoIP trunk circuit is disconnected or fails, "Expensive Route" message is not displayed on the telset when the call is routed over the fallback. Q01840161 - Tandem call forwarding using IP trunks unsuccessful for cell phone numbers. An outside caller calls in on a PRI to site "A" and is tandemed to site "B" over VoIP. When the destination set at site B is CFAC to a cell phone in the PSTN, the resulting call does not go through. Q01821801 - Hunt group metrics not working An external incoming call is answered by Auto Attendant and then transferred to Hunt Group. If the call is abandoned before the Hunt Group member answers, the Hunt Group metric for abandoned calls can be incorrectly decremented. This can result in large negative numbers in the abandoned call metric. Q01825303-02 - BCM calling CS1000 via SPS is Blocked if SIGO=ESN5 on Route Register the BCM as a SIP Endpoint on the SPS. Add routing on the BCM to allow connection to a CS1000 system in the network. On the SIP route of the CS1000 have SIGO set to ESN5. Make a call from the BCM set to the CS1000 Set. The call will fail if the SIGO in the CS1000 is set to ESN5. Q01815787 - UK market: CLID is presented after call answer rather than while ringing When a set is configured in 'Cap's n Pref's' to First Display 'Line', and the CLID is withheld on an incoming call the line number only shows up after answering the call, instead of while the call is ringing. Q01801594-03 Software Update BCM050.R300.ELEMENT-MANAGER-51 Description: ---------------------------------------------- - Add a new checkup button "Force G.711 for 3.1k audio" to "SIP Media Parameters" panel The requirement was to add a new check button in Element Manager's panel: Configurations -> Resources -> Telephony Resources -> IP Trunks -> SIP Media Parameters. Q01844957, Q01829899-01 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-46 Description: ----------------------------------- - No speech path on the calls from SRG50 to CS1000 MobileX over SIP trunks SRG IP sets called CS1000 MobileX over SIP trunks, the calls were answered by the cell phones of the twin sets, but no speech paths were established. The cause of the problem was that SRG mistakenly attached a duplicated SDP with its PRACK messages in response to CS1000's 180 alerting messages. Q01834016 - Calls from BCM to SIPPBX over SIP trunks RNA and SIPPBX SIP trunks are not released BCM initiated SIP outbound calls to SIPPBX. The calls were ringing but not answered (RNA). Three minutes later, the Radvision stack timer timed out, the calls were released inside the BCM but no CANCEL messages were sent out to notify the SIPPBX. Therefore, the SIP trunks of the SIPPBX were locked up. Q01813159 - Calls transferred from analog trunks to SIP trunks experience one-way speech A call from a BCM analog trunk to a BCM analog set was forwarded to a CS1000 IP set, then it was transferred to the second CS1000 IP set which experienced One-way speech path. The cause of the problem was that BCM initially selected codec G.729 for its outbound calls to CS1000, however, BCM revoked its previous decision and selected G.711 when CS1000 attempted to transfer the calls. Therefore, a codec mismatch occurred. Q01829899-01 - FEPS stops and restarts intermittently This problem occurred when a call was set up with G.729 from a 3.1k Audio port. If a Re-INVITE was sent to the BCM on that port, then in trying to produce an answer to the OFFER, there was a logic error which caused the non-G.711 current codec to be re-offered in a continuous loop. This locked up the gateway, and generally caused a crash. Q01842956 Software Update BCM050.R300.UTPS-43 Description: ----------------------------------- - The LCD on the KEM going blank intermittently The following latest firmware is being included in the BCM50 R3 build which fixes the 1110 series expansion module's issues. 0623C4L.bin - for 1110 Phone 0624C4L.bin - for 1120 Phone 0625C4L.bin - for 1140 Phone Q01848399 - Inclusion Of UNIStim 2.2 - 062AC5J for Orion Sets The latest Orion Set firmware 062AC5J is being included in the BCM50 R3 build. Q01848523 - IP sets disconnect from BCM system after using Hot desking This problem is seen when the user tries to do multilevel Hot desking. The 'Hot desking' feature is designed in such a way that one can not have multi-level Hot desking. Make sure there is no current Hot desking session running before Hot desking any other set. If there is already a Hot desking session running and the user attempts to hot desk one more set, user will be prompted to "Cancel current Hot desking". Q01809763 - IP Set still rings after using Hot desking. The fix provided is such that the "tone" state of the IPset is cleaned up when the IPSet is involved in Hot desking. Q01591658-02 Software Update BCM050.R300.CORE-8 Description: ---------------------------------------------- - GASI globalization. Support for United Kingdom, Australia and Poland has been added for Analog Stations. Market-related parameters for all the supported profiles are downloaded from the CoreTel through the ASM_PLUS_INIT stimulus messages. Q01591658-02 - Adaptive Line Tuning Support for GATM-Ver2. Adaptive Line Tuning support is added in GATM-Ver2 firmware. This is to resolve the echo issues reported in multiple sites in different markets. This new Line Tuning Algorithm calculates the Filter Hybrid coefficients dynamically during boot-up based on the CO line conditions. GATM Adaptive Line tuning will only be supported on GATMv2 hardware and later vintages of GATM and combinations modules, which include the following top level codes: Gx16 MBMs (NT5B42AAABE5/NT5B42AAACE5) & GATM 4/8 (NT5B44BAABE5/NT5BAAABE5). Q01755111-03 Software Update BCM050.R300.CTI-3 Description: --------------------------------------------- - Core telephony crash. If a F989 Silent Record-a-Call fails for any reason, core telephony may crash if a MeetMe conference is initiated immediately after that failure. Q01783842 Software Update BCM050.R300.FEPS-2 Description: ---------------------------------------------- - T.38 fax parameters not acceptable by CISCO Call Servers FAX calls originated to CISCO Call Servers will fail because T.38 FAX parameters in Nortel T.38 SDP ANSWER are not compatible with the T.38 FAX parameters in the Call Server OFFER. Q01767675 This update includes the content of the following superseded Smart Updates: BCM050.R300.SU.System-203.200909 Limitations: All Mailbox Manager Message Forwarding pages have the "Main", "Logout" an d "Help" buttons in English regardless of the language being used. When a second KEM is "hot-plugged" both the original primary KEM and the secondary KEM will boot and any lines configured on the primary KEM will migrate to free keys on the IP set supporting the KEM modules as add-ons. will boot. Removal of a secondary KEM module to an in service IP Set will result in migration of configured lines on both the primary and secondary KEM to available blank keys on the supporting IP set
