Limitations: The following 2 limitations are specific to BCM <-> SCS interoperability. - Codec renegotiation during xfer to auto attendant on SCS. In this scenario, a call from PSTN gets tandemed to a set on SCS. The SCS user attempts to transfer to another SCS set, but it supports a different codec from what the first set on SCS supports. The transfer failed, because there is no overlap in the offered Codecs and the Codec supported by the target. The workaround is for all the SCS sets to support the same Codec. Q02036115 - CLID shows as anonymous during a double blind transfer. Anonymous shows up when testing the following scenario: - Set1 on SCS calls PSTN through BCM - Set1 blind xfers the call to set2 on SCS. On Set2, name is shown as transfer and DN of transferor is shown. - Set2 then blind xfers the call to set3 on scs. On set3 we only see anonymous. Q02036122 Any UPS device used with the BCM50 platform must be USB 1.1 compatible. If connecting a non USB 1.1 device, a USB 1.1 hub (or other converter) must be used. If an IP trunk has 2 or more media paths assigned when it released there is a possibility for the Coretel software to enter an infinite loop and lock up. An IP trunk could end up with 2 or more media paths either by : - multiple sets alerting for a call on the trunk, or, - additional media paths assigned via a spurious media path connect request which creating an extra media path when a set blind transfers a call to an IP trunk. (released while hearing the ringback.) In either case, if the IP trunk has multiple media paths assigned then when the IP trunk call is released resyulting in an infinite loop (software lockup). This update - prevents Core Telephony from sending a request to connect a media path when not required (preventing unexpected multiple media paths assigned to IP trunks), and - repairs a s/w error that could result in an infinite loop when an IP trunk with multiple media paths releases. Q02133182 - Intermittent Caller ID Failure Intermittently Caller ID information is not presented on the destination set for incoming calls over analog lines. Q02074343-03 - CoreTel reset during multi-part conference disconnect. When a multi party conference call was being released the core telephony component crashed due to a NULL poiner reference. Q02034298-01 - Add regional profile for Ireland (analog stations) to the Telephony Regions EM screen. Q01992558-02 Software Update BCM050.R500.IPTEL-19-2 Description: --------------------------------------------------- - Media Paths remain locked up by MRS after Media Path Server (MPS) crash The Media Relay Server (MRS) did not account for one path endpoint being missing during its cleanup, resulting in stuck media paths, and the inability to make calls on the affected IP trunks. Q02112425 - BCM SIP calls cannot be originated Because of a new timing window, an event that is required in order to initiate a SIP call is arrived before it is anticipated, not when it is expected, resulting in an endless wait for it. This change checks to see whether it has already occurred rather than just waiting for it. Q02115808 - No speech path on H.323 tandem calls As a side-effect from fixing Q02089380 above, it was discovered that over-generalized error checking for fax calls was causing some valid requests for voice media paths to be rejected. Q02103695-02 - BCM SIP treats E.164 International numbers as Unknown numbering plan if no phone-context is specified. Q02088870-01 - Proxy failover is not working over SIP trunk when DNS routing is used and the WAN connection is down. Q02039966-03 Software Update BCM050.R500.SSH-26-1 Description: ------------------------------------------------- - Openssh package upgrade Current version of OpenSSH used on BCM is prone to a X11 Cookie Local Authentication bypass vulnerability. Openssh versions prior to v4.7 are affected. This update upgrades the Openssh package to the latest version (v5.3p1). Q02106619-04 Software Update BCM050.R500.DHCP-12 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - ISC DHCP dhcpclient buffer overflow vulnerability A security vulnerability has been reported in ISC DHCP, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a user's system. dhcp component is updated to version 4.1.0p1 to address this issue. Q02065537-04 Software Update BCM050.R500.FEPS-11 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - BCM SIP calls challenged mid call do not authenticate Some endpoints will challenge for authentication while in the middle of a call. If this happens when the BCM has sent a BYE indication, the trunk will not be released. Q02078147 - H323 Trunk Disconnect Error from CS1K When the CS1K releases an H.323 trunk, it now sets the Release Complete Cause value, and this causes the BCM Release Reason logic to think that the call is being rejected rather than released normally. Q02086223 - No voice path on BCM SIP when calling from IP set This was the result of message arriving at the SIP Media control state machine when it was not expected, and it was discarded instead of acted on. Q02086260 Software Update BCM050.R500.SOFTWARE-MANAGEMENT-10 Description: --------------------------------------------------------------- - Patch hardware and software release requirements are not validated Because the platform type and software release of patches were not strictly enforced, it was possible to apply patches from the BCM 450 R1 release onto BCM50 R5 software. This update corrects the issue by enforcing the software and hardware requirements. Q02097684 Software Update BCM050.R500.FEPS-9 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - No voice path for forwarded calls on SIP trunk Because of a timing issue in a tandem call scenario, new media paths are being set up as previous ones are being torn down, and the new requests were not being remembered when the old path was gone. Q02085075 - Caller ID information is not sent to the destination SET on calls tandemed through BCM Call is originated on SIP trunk and tandem through BCM on PRI trunk to the destination SET. The main number is sent as a CLID instead of actual CLID of the calling party. The originating DN information was mistakenly derived from the Contact header on tandem calls. This update resolves the issue Q02059946-02 Software Update BCM050.R500.PSM-7 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - BCM should alarm if network port is operating in half duplex mode The OAM, LAN1, LAN2 and LAN3 ports on the faceplate are configured by default with auto-negotiation enabled to determine the link speed and duplex mode of the far end LAN endpoint. In the event that the far end LAN endpoint does not have auto-negotiation enabled, the LAN port uses half duplex mode. Although this behavior is compliant with IEEE 802.3 specifications, full duplex mode is desired. In addition, a duplex mismatch will cause numerous Ethernet frame losses or retransmissions. This 'minor' alarm (Alarm ID 11215) informs the user when a half duplex condition is detected. Q02088053-01 - Alarm 11409 - Router does not exist On BCM50, BCM50b and SRG50 hardware platforms for which there is no integrated router card installed, it is possible to see alarm 11409 generated to report that the integrated router card was not detected. This software change removes the erroneous alarm report. Q02080821 Software Update BCM050.R500.Call-Recording-6 Description: ----------------------------------------------- - PCR message header incomplete - missing leading 0 for time indications The email title of a PCR email is changed to carry 0 in time second field when dealing with numbers smaller then 10. And also to include the Dialed Digits in email title of a PCR when making outbound calls (when the digits are available).
