The Server Information page in the Configuration Wizard enables you to configure the following:
time zone
dialing information
If
you are running the Configuration Wizard to change the computer name,
LDAP search base, or both, and users associated with the local server
are using My CallPilot, the My CallPilot web server does not automatically
detect the changes. You must run the My CallPilot Administration Utility
on the My CallPilot server to adjust the settings; otherwise, My CallPilot
users may not be able to log on to their mailboxes or access the CallPilot
Address Book.
Configuration Wizard > Configuration Mode > Keycode and Serial Number > Feature Verification > Server Information
Follow the instructions on the Configuration Wizard pages until you reach the Server Information page.
Enter a new computer name. This is necessary if you have another CallPilot server on the network with the same name..
The
computer name box is prefilled with the current computer name defined
during factory installation or by the distributor in advance of the CallPilot
installation date.
If
you change the computer name, you must restart the server when prompted
at the end of the Configuration Wizard before attempting to do any additional
server configuration. If you do not restart the server, then any additional
server configuration may not be applied properly.
Do
not use the Windows network control panel to change the computer name.
It does not properly update the computer name in the CallPilot software.
The Configuration Wizard makes the appropriate computer name updates for
CallPilot, as well as for Windows.
Choose the time zone for the location of the CallPilot server from the Time Zone drop-down menu.
Enter the country code and area code (phone number information) that applies to the CallPilot server location.
Enter the LDAP search base.
This information is used to support desktop messaging.
There are several ways to specify the LDAP search base. However, Nortel
Networks strongly recommends using domain components. Follow these guidelines:
The search base must contain a domain controller (dc) for each suffix in the fully qualified domain name of the CallPilot server. The number of entries depends on the size of your company and the organization of your LDAP directory.
The order is critical. The component closest to the root must be written last.
Separate domain components with a comma. Do not include spaces between domain components.

index.
