Entering the keycode and serial number

The Keycode and Serial Number page in the Configuration Wizard enables you to enter, change, or verify the keycode and serial number.

To enter, change, or verify the keycode and serial number

Configuration Wizard > Configuration Mode > Keycode and Serial Number

  1. Start the Configuration Wizard.

  2. Follow the instructions on the Configuration Wizard pages until you reach the Keycode and Serial Number page.

  3. Enter the keycode and serial number that came with the CallPilot shipment. Then click Next.

Note/Tip If the serial number contains letters, use lowercase.

Note/Tip If the prefilled Serial Number (taken from the software feature key) is different from the serial number that came with the keycode, contact your Nortel Networks customer support representative and request a valid keycode and serial number, or a new software feature key.

To complete the installation, enter the serial number that came with the keycode. After the installation is complete, you can use the voice mail system, but you cannot log on to CallPilot through the administrative PC to perform system or maintenance activities. When you receive a new software feature key or a new serial number, rerun the Configuration Wizard to fix this problem.
