Specifying off-switch dialing prefixes

For off-switch calls, CallPilot requires dialing information to translate a dialed number into a dialable number.

To specify off-switch dialing prefixes

Messaging > Dialing Information

1. Scroll to the Dialing Defaults settings and enter, for callers dialing from your organization, the following:

• the local prefix

• the long distance prefix

• the international prefix

• if Enterprise Networking is used: the ESN access code

2. Scroll to the Public Telephone Network Information settings and enter, for your organization's location, the following:

• the country code

• the area/city code

3. Scroll to the Unknown Format Handling settings and specify whether CallPilot will handle calling numbers from unknown dialing plans.

4. If you enabled Capture External CLID With Unknown Format: Select a default translation plan from the Default Translation list.

5. If your server is at a location that uses mixed area/city codes, define the required dialing translations.

6. Click Save.
