Providing a personalized greeting for a mailbox

You might need to provide a personalized greeting for a mailbox in either of the following situations:

• You are configuring a special-purpose mailbox.

• You need to protect the mailbox from hackers.

To provide a personalized greeting for a mailbox

User > User Search

1. Find the mailbox owner's user properties.

2. Locate the Greetings settings.

3. Provide the personalized greeting:

• To specify a prompt file that has already been recorded, click the Import button and type or browse for the existing WAV file you want to use.

• To record a new prompt:

1. Click the Telset button.

2. Type the DN of a convenient phoneset and click OK.

3. Follow any instructions as you record the greeting.

4. Click Save.
