An addressing convention that determines how a switch location exchanges messages with other switch locations in the messaging network.
When you configure the local prime switch location, you specify which dialing plan is used to connect to other sites. When you define the dialing plan information for a remote site, you specify how messages are exchanged between the local switch and that specific remote switch.
