To protect your CallPilot information, follow these guidelines.
When you are finished using
My CallPilot, make sure that you log off. If you go to a web site outside
of My CallPilot without logging out, My CallPilot does not log off for
you immediately. This can make your CallPilot information vulnerable to
hackers. If you want to visit a web site without exiting My CallPilot,
use a separate browser window to view the other site.
You can configure My CallPilot to log off automatically after a specified
period of inactivity. This setting is available from Web Messaging Preferences
link on the CallPilot Features tab.
If you are using a public or shared workstation, consider the following security measures:
Use the secure logon feature, if it is available.
Empty the web browser cache after a CallPilot session to ensure that your personal CallPilot information is removed from the computer. For information about your web browser cache, see your web browser online help.
If you are using a public or shared workstation,
avoid using the Remember Password option when you log on to My CallPilot.
If this option is selected, others can access your CallPilot messages
without knowing your mailbox password.
Administrators can enable or disable the Remember
Password option using the My CallPilot Administration Tool.
