Problem Description: ======================= A potential problem has been identified within CallPilot HA that, if experienced, may result in situation when standby server is not able to startup with CTMS service hangup on failover, under some circumstances. 3. List of WIs that are addressed by this PEP: ============================================== wi00898695 CallPilot HA CTMS service remains in stopping on CP2 after SU07 to SU09 Update 4. Installing the PEP: ====================== This PEP is intended to be installed on CallPilot 5.0 (build 05.00.41.20) servers that were installed with or upgraded to Service Update 10 (CP50041SU10S). Warning: -------- This PEP is for distributions on CallPilot HA systems only. High Availability (HA) Systems ------------------------------ To install this PEP on HA system please follow the procedure for installing PEPs described in the document NN44200-311 "High Availability: Installation and Configuration", section "Install PEPs". NOTE: If you are going to install this PEP during the upgrade to SU10, then just use the NTP NN44200-311 for installation instructions. But if you already have SU10 HA system configured, then first install the PEP on both nodes per NTP NN44200-311 and then perform the following actions on the primary server: - Take CallPilot Resource Groupe offline through EMC console - Attach disk drives E and F to the primary node - Start "High Availability Configuration Wizard" from D:\Nortel\HA\HighAvailabilityConfigurationWizard.exe on active CallPilot - Press "Step 3: Generate Definition File" button. Ensure that definition file was created succesfully (appropriate message should be displayed) - Exit High Availability Configuration Wizard - Detach disk drives E and F from the AutoStart Console window. - Expand Domains. - Right-click [AutoStart_Domain]. (This is the domain name created when the AutoStart agent is installed.) - Select the Import Domain Information option. Result: The Import dialog box appears. - In the Import window, select CallPilot-Mirroring.def or CallPilot- Mirroring-Single.def from the D:\Nortel\HA\ToolkitInstaller2.0 folder. - The AutoStart definition file is named either CallPilot- Mirroring-Single.def (for systems with one MPB96 board) or CallPilot-Mirroring.def (for systems with three MPB96 boards). - Click Import. The import process takes approximately one minute to complete. - Expand Utility Processes. Result: The Utility Processes are displayed: - DisableAOS - KillServices - LoadDN - LoadTSP - UnloadTSP - UnloadTSPOnStandbyServer - Select the DisableAOS Utility Process. - In the Login Info section, enter the password for the Windows administrator account in the Password and Confirm fields. - Repeat previous step for each of the remaining Utility Processes. In order to install the PEP: ---------------------------- - Launch the CP500S10L13S.msi to start the installation of the PEP. - Reboot of the server is not required. - This PEP requires manual actions to complete installation. Please read section "4. Installing the PEP" carefully for more details. Uninstall: ---------- - Go to Start>Programs>CallPilot>System Utilities>PEP Maintenance Utility. Click Show PEPs. Select CP500S10L13S, and click Remove. - Reboot is not required after uninstall. - This PEP requires manual actions to complete uninstallation. Please read section "4.
