Installing the PEP: =================== Please read this section in its entirety before proceeding. This PEP is intended to be installed on the server that has been installed with, or upgraded to CallPilot 2.02 (02.01.27.05). Note 1: ------- You can install PEP CP20127SU03S Cumulative and CallPilot Manager (CP202S03G14C or later) on the CallPilot Server at the same time. Just follow the instructions below. Note 2: ------- While installing CallPilot Manager (PEP CP202S03G14C or later) on the CallPilot Server, ignore any system warnings during the installation procedure. Note 3: ------- Ensure there is a recent backup available prior to installing this Service Update. It's always recommended that a backup be performed (or split RAID) just prior to performing any server maintenance activity to ensure the most recent customer data is available should a restore be needed. WARNING: -------- Once the upgrade is complete, a backup is required of the system once CP2.02 SU03 is installed. User Archives from CP2.02 SU02 or earlier are not compatible with CP2.02 SU03 and vice versa. Note 4: ------- PEPs that are in the limited, restricted or diagnostic status are removed during the installation of CP20127SU03S. The associated version of the limited, restricted, or diagnostic PEP with CP20127SU03S will have to be installed once the installation of CP20127SU03S is complete. Note: ----- From the PEP CD (NTUB43AE), copy the CP20127SU03S_Cumulative folder to the D:\TEMP folder. For downloads from the Enterprise Solutions PEP Library (ESPL), unzip the CP20127SU03S_Cumulative.exe to the D:\TEMP folder. 1. Installing PEP CP20127SU03S Cumulative Launch the RUNME.BAT included in the D:\TEMP\CP20127SU03S_Cumulative folder to start the installation. Setup will examine your system, and display a list of all individual PEPs available for installation on your server. Click "Select All" button, to select all PEPs for installation. Note: ----- If PEP CP202S03R21S is installed do not select PEP CP202S03G19S. If PEP CP202S03G19S is selected it will uninstall PEP CP202S03R21S. PEP CP202S03R21S can be installed again if uninstalled. You will be prompted to uninstall the previous PEPs and SU. Click [OK] to proceed. During the installation of CP20127SU03S the AOS service will start which will cause a pop up window to appear stating that CallPilot is booting. This window can be closed upon appearance. 2. Wait for the installation to complete. You will be prompted that a reboot of the server is required. However, if you are planning to install the latest CallPilot Manager (CP202S03G14C or later) on the server, proceed without rebooting to Step 4 "Installing CallPilot Manager on the CallPilot Server". 3. Reboot is required after the installation of PEP CP20127SU03S Cumulative unless also installing CallPilot Manager on the CallPilot Server. If not installing CallPilot Manager, proceed to Step 11. Installing CallPilot Manager on the CallPilot Server. 4. Click [No] not to reboot. 5. Disconnect all browsers currently connected to CallPilot Manager. 6. Run the IISPREPARE.BAT batch file included in the CallPilot Manager PEP folder (eg. PEP CP202S03GxxC, where xx is the latest CallPilot Manager PEP number). This will stop and restart the IIS server and related services. This will take approximately 5 minutes to execute. 7. Launch the CPMGRSETUP.EXE application included in the CallPilot Manager PEP folder (eg. PEP CP202S03GxxC, where xx is the latest CallPilot Manager PEP number) located in the CallPilotManagerInstall directory. 8. Wait for the installation to complete Register CallPilot Manager in the DMI Viewer. 9. Launch the RUNME.EXE from the CallPilot Manager PEP root directory (eg. CP202S03GxxC\CP202S03GxxC where xx is the latest CallPilot Manager PEP number). Note: ----- All windows not applicable to this registration process should be closed before starting this step. 10. Wait for the DMI Viewer Registration to complete. 11. Restart the CallPilot Server. 12. Delete the CP20127SU03S_Cumulative folder from D:\TEMP directory PEP CP20127SU03S Cumulative replaces the following PEPs: -------------------------------------------------------- - CP20127SU02S - CP20127G075S - CP20127G081S - CP20127G082S - CP20127G086S - CP20127G088S - CP20127G094S The replaced PEPs will be automatically uninstalled when CP20127SU03S is installed. Uninstall: ========== Go to Start>Programs>CallPilot>System Utilities>PEP Maintenance Utility. Click Show PEPs. Select all of the PEPs you want to uninstall, and click Remove. Reboot is required after uninstall.
