DOWNLOADING LARGE OPTION II SYSTEMS

1. On captive or Customer switch:

  Enter ctrl PDT                    (2tdp22ler)  SPELLS rel22pdt2!
  cd c:/u/db                        This DIR required in  Meridian Unix OS.
  sx config.rec <CR>                Picks file to send to P.C.
  PgDn                              Or File receive icon on P.C.
  X                                 Selects X-modem Method for receiving file 
  a:config.rec <CR>                 Target for file (Floppy disc)

  Repeat this process for database.rec & inet.db files

2. Access Switch to programme or restore data on Meridian system


  Enter ctrl PDT
  cd c:/u/db
  mkdir temp                        Creates dir to receive info without       
                                    Compromising security
  cd c:/u/db/temp                   Enter dir of "temp"
  rx config.rec <CR>                Picks file to send to meridian
  Pgup                              Or File send icon on P.C. 
  X                                 Selects X-modem Method for sending file
  a:config.rec <CR>                 File transfer occurs

  Repeat this process for database.rec & inet.db files

  cd c:/u/db                        Enter working database
  cp c:/u/db/temp/config.rec_.      Copies from temp to working dir
               (Note - = space)


  Repeat this for database.rec & inet.db files
  Exit PDT by keying "exit"
  Do a mains reset on the switchboard or a "XSL" in ld 143 & do a EDD
  Check software
  Enter ctrl PDT
  cd c:/u/db/temp
  del config.rec,database.rec & inet.db
  cd c:/u/db
  del temp                          All temp data now removed
