If you are maintaining a staff of CallPilot administrators you might need to carry out the following tasks:
Create sets of user creation templates and corresponding mailbox classes, based on the Administrator and Admin Only templates and mailbox classes.
Add a group of full or specialized administrators in a single operation
Update the administrative staff by adding individual administrators, one at a time
the name of the user creation template that provides information for the user type
first and last names of the CallPilot administrator
If the new administrator is also a new mailbox owner:
mailbox number (extension DN)
optional: any shared distribution lists to which the administrator should be added
the user creation template that is set up for the new administrators
the name and path of the formatted data input file that contains new administrator information
If the input data file is an Excel spreadsheet: the name of the worksheet on which the data is stored
You cannot add an individual administrator or several
administrators to
a remote server.
User > Add User
Type the required information. Each required field is marked with an asterisk (*).
Optional: To display the user creation template and enter additional information for the new user, click the Advanced User Add button and assign administrative privileges.
Click the Add button. The Results page displays the information added to the CallPilot database.
To add another individual, click the Add Another User button.
User > Auto Admin
In the Template Name list, click the appropriate Administrator template name for the type of specialized administrator you are adding.
In the File Name box, type
the complete path name of the input data file.
You can browse for the file.
If the input file is an Excel spreadsheet: in the Worksheet Name box type the name of the worksheet on which the data is stored
Click the Upload File button.
To confirm that you have uploaded the correct file:
Review the name of the uploaded file and the number of entries.
Review the columns that appear.
For each column heading In the column heading
list, click the type of information contained in the column.
If the column contains the user creation template name,
or information that does not belong in the CallPilot database, leave "Ignore"
as the column heading.
Click the Add Users button.
As the operation progresses, monitor the operation. To cancel the operation, click the Stop Bulk Add button.
User > User Search
Execute a search for the administrator or administrators you want to remove.
In the Search Results
list, click the empty box next to each administrator you want to delete.
To select all administrators listed, click the empty
box in the column header.
Click the Delete Selected button.
